Wayne Rohrs received the 2019 Jill Borst Memorial Trophy for three main reasons:

1. IT Support to the entire NZHGPA community including:
* Set up of the NZHGPA website.
* Set up of the Wild Apricot membership management system.
* Creation of the NZ Pilot Ranking System.
* Airspace project.
* ...and lots more.

2. Membership and contributions to the Paragliding Competition Committee.

3. Being a great pilot, a regular gun on the competition scene and a site record breaker.

Wayne was injured in a crash during the 2018 PG Open in Wanaka and will never fly again.
His new challenge is walking the Te Araroa trail, for which he had to learn to walk again. During 2020 he completed the entire North Island half of the trail and plans to continue towards Bluff in 2021/22.
